Abstract

Procordulagomphus xavieri is a new genus and species of gomphid dragonfly (subfamily Cordulagomphinae) from the Lower Cretaceous of Araripe (Brazil). It is the sister-genus of another gomphid from Araripe, Cordulagomphus.
