We are joining two main congresses the 9th edition of TAPHOS (paleontologists) and International Council for ArchaeoZoology (archaeologists) in the same 2020 meeting, also calling to participate other specialists as Forensic scholars, molecular biologists, histology anthropologists. This special joint congress’2020 aims to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Taphonomy as research discipline. This congress is also celebrating the 30th anniversary of the first meeting of TAPHOS Congresses, and the 30th anniversary of the methodology of small mammal taphonomy published in Owls, Caves and Fossils by Peter Andrews. We then will pay a special tribute to Sixto Fernández-López: founder of TAPHOS congresses, and to Peter Andrews. We are honoured to have the participation of A.K.Behrensmeyer (Smithsonian Institution), one of the main leaders of this discipline that will give the opening conference.
