Abstract

Six species and one subspecies of the genus Schizophoria are described from the Devonian of western Europe, with their stratigraphical ranges and postulated phylogeny. All taxa are shown to be externally and internally distinct. Neotypes are proposed for Schizophoria provulvaria (Maurer) and S. strigosa (Sowerby).
