Overview

Progressive Palaeontology (ProgPal) is an annual, free-to-register conference organised by students for students. The conference provides a welcoming, supportive space for ECRs to present their research and network with their peers. We are thrilled to be hosting ProgPal this year at the University of Liverpool from the 1st – 3rd June, and, while remaining true to the tried-and-tested elements of the conference, we will be introducing new initiatives to broaden its scope and appeal. Furthermore, in line with previous conferences, we remain committed to ensuring ProgPal is an inclusive, accessible environment for all!

Format

The main conference will take place over two days (1st – 2nd June), bookended by an optional public seminar evening (31st May) and optional field trip (3rd June).

Delegates are invited to provide either a talk or poster.

Day 1 will comprise workshops, a designated poster session and an icebreaker event. Day 2 will include the talks, conference dinner, awards and auction. Registration to attend the conference dinner at the privately booked Duke Street Food & Drink Market function room is free, but attendees will be expected to order and pay for their own food and drink at the venue on the day. Please refer to the schedule for further details.
