*Postponement of 36th IGC: The Government of India has reviewed the situation emerging out of the outbreak of the novel coronavirus (COVID - 19). It considers the health and safety of the esteemed delegates and guests of the 36th International Geological Congress Paramount. In view of this, the Government has postponed the congress to a later date.*

This meeting will consist of two days of oral platform presentations, discussions, and posters. This conference is open to all, and we invite professionals, amateurs and enthusiasts in the field of marine reptiles to attend. The primary focus will be on the fossil record, covering both marine reptiles and other organisms which formed part of their ecosystems, however a session will also take place on modern marine reptiles, and we welcome abstracts from researchers studying all aspects of this field.

Future Meeting: 5th IMERP

Event Date: Monday, May 18, 2020 to Thursday, May 21, 2020

The International Meeting of Early-stage Researchers in Palaeontology traces its origins to the EJIP (Encuentro de Jóvenes Investigadores en Paleontología, or Meeting of Young Researchers in Palaeontology), which is held every year in Spain or Portugal. 2016 the XIV EJIP, organised in Alpuente (Valencia, Spain) mainly by palaeontologists from the University of Valencia, was open to foreign researchers, thus creating the 1st IMERP. Since then both meetings have been split, but their aims are still very similar.

The meeting is open to paleontologist, ornithologist and anyone with a general interest in bird evolution. Birds are excellent models for addressing a wide range of scientific questions, hence we encourage students and professionals of relevant research areas—functional morphology, evo-devo, paleontology, and molecular systematics, among others—to take part in the scientific sessions of the 10th SAPE Meeting. A scientific committee of renowned researchers will review the abstracts to ensure the quality of the scientific sessions.
